According to sources, Ben Affleck's 54-year-old wife reputation is in shambles as a result of recent image-shattering events such as her failed $20 million album and documentary, "This Is Me;" phony stories about her girlhood in the Bronx; her close association with accused sex creep Sean "Diddy" Combs; and claims she made moves on Ryan Guzman, her co-star in the 2015 film “The Boy Next Door,” despite the fact that he had a girlfriend.
“Jennifer’s fall from grace has been coming for a while and it’s really all her fault because she’s the one driving it. She lives in a world of make-believe and people aren’t buying the act anymore. They’re labeling her a phony and narcissist and someone who’s tone-deaf to the real world around her,” an unnamed source told The National Enquirer.
“Her own label thought she was crazy when she proposed a three-part project based on her love story with Ben, but her ego was so enormous she wouldn’t listen to reason. So, she funded it herself — with her own money — only to see it fail miserably. It was a $20 million fiasco,” the insider added.
Jennifer's album "This Is Me … Now" peaked at No. 38 on Billboard before dropping off the charts. Her concerts are not selling out, requiring them to be canceled. Meanwhile, fans have criticized her Amazon Studios film as "out of touch" and "delusional," and insiders claim that a slew of A-list celebrities turned down cameo appearances.
The “Papi” songstress’ description of her early upbringing in a working-class Bronx, New York, area has also sparked criticism from classmates, who point out that she attended a Catholic girls' school, not a ghetto death trap straight out of Blackboard Jungle.
On the “No Chaser” podcast, Melanie Iglesias accused Jennifer of attempting to ruin her romance with then-boyfriend Ryan Guzman. “She made my ex pretend he was single to promote the movie. So they were holding hands and promoting this,” the Maxim model said.
When former talk show host Ellen DeGeneres questioned Jennifer if anything was going on with Ryan, she responded, "No!" and then added, "You never know." However, a furious Melanie shot back. "We have met. We've met. What do you mean, you're not sure if he had a girlfriend? We met. You squeezed the sh*t out of my hand. I am still black and blue,” she said.
