BTS's Jungkook has entered the top 10 list of artists with the highest streaming debuts on Spotify, showcasing his global popularity. Recently, platforms known as the 'European Billboard,' World Music Awards (WMA), and 'chart data,' which covers real-time updates on global music charts, have unveiled the list of top 10 debut streams on the Spotify Global Chart.

Jungkook's solo single "Seven" achieved an impressive feat by recording 16 million streams on its release day (after filtering), making it the 8th highest debut stream in the history of the Spotify Global Chart, securing his spot in the top 10.

"Seven" marks a monumental record in Spotify and K-pop history as it is Jungkook's first official solo debut after ten years with BTS, launched in 2023 under his name 'Jungkook'.

The 'Top 10 Biggest Debut Streams on Spotify Global Chart' includes only two artists (as lead artists): Jungkook and global pop star Taylor Swift. Taylor Swift, who debuted in 2006 and has released numerous hit songs, dominates the list from first to seventh place, and also places ninth and tenth.

Furthermore, the artists who debuted with over 15 million streams include Jungkook with "Seven," American rapper Latto featured on "Seven," Taylor Swift, pop star Post Malone, and American singer-songwriter Lana Del Rey.

Jungkook has also set records on Spotify's major global daily charts as the first Asian artist to remain at number one for a total of 71 days, and on the 'Weekly Top Song Global' during 2023, he maintained the longest period at number one for a male artist worldwide, at nine weeks.

Additionally, "Seven" has rapidly become a phenomenon, achieving streaming milestones the fastest in Spotify history with 1 billion, 9 billion, 10 billion, and 11 billion streams (pre-filtering), and it was ranked fourth in Spotify's 'Top Tracks of 2023' based on approximately four months of data.

Previously, "Seven" had set three world records: the fastest to reach 1 billion streams (pre-filtering) on Spotify, the highest number of streams in a week among global male artist tracks with 89,748,171 streams (post-filtering), and the fastest to reach 100 million streams (post-filtering), all officially recognized by the Guinness World Records.

"Seven" debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100, staying on the chart for 15 weeks. It remained number one on the Billboard Global (Excl. US) for nine consecutive weeks and on the Global 200 for seven consecutive weeks, charting for 41 consecutive weeks on both. It also made a long-standing entry as a K-pop solo song in the UK Official Chart's Top 100, reaching third place on its debut and charting for 14 weeks.

Additionally, "Seven" was ranked 10th on the IFPI's '2023 Global Single Chart', the only Korean artist song in the top 10, and it was the first Asian solo song to win the 'Best Music Video' at the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards. It also won the 'Song of Summer' at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards (MTV VMA), the 'Top Global K-Pop Song' at the 2023 Billboard Music Awards (BBMAs), and 'Best Song' at the 2023 MTV Europe Music Awards (MTV EMA).
